Excellent care and advice

"I contracted C-19 in March 2020 and took a while to recover. Some months later, in September 2020, I still wasn't feeling quite right and talked to my private medical insurer about an investigation. Dr. Paramothayan was one of the doctors on its panel. I contacted her, and she was immediately professional and reassuring. An investigative x-ray was followed by a CT scan, a lung function test and a final CT scan in March 2021. Throughout, she was thorough without being alarming and, when the improvement in lung health was revealed in March 2021, signed me off with the minimum of fuss, but with sound advice. She was prompt to reply to any emails and always punctual for our in-person or Zoom meetings. I would have no hesitation in recommending her, based on my experience."

Respiratory issues

"I contacted Dr Shanthi Paramothayan after an unexpected finding on a CT scan which showed scarring on the lungs. She took the time to listen and then carried out as full an analysis as possible of my symptoms by Zoom call. She arranged for further tests and these were most helpful in coming to a diagnosis.
I have felt very confident in her professional expertise and her deep knowledge base at all times. She is a Doctor who 'goes the extra mile' for her patients. She is caring, reassuring and a most prompt and effective communicator.
I am very pleased I chose her to be my consultant and would not hesitate to recommend her."

Pulmonary Fibrosis

"I was referred to Dr Paramothayan in February 2020 after I had been diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. She gave me a full examination and arranged several tests. She was very helpful in describing the condition and what to expect, answering many questions. Her good advice was don't read google on the condition and she referred me to the specialists at the NHS in Guys Hospital where, after a delay caused by covid 19 I am getting examinations and treatment. We keep in touch and I much value her good advice."

Outstanding Respiratory Specialist
