Child with PANDA
"
We saw Dr Fry because our 8 year old had developed serious anxiety about going to school after the pandemic. She was waking with night terrors, complaining of stomach aches (which we took to be anxiety related) crying going into school, having tantrums, refusing to get ready and also suffering from significant separation anxiety from us to the point where she would refuse to ever be away from us, have any kind of baby sitting etc (she would either not consent or simply not sleep at all, keep herself awake until we returned). Our daughter was considerably affected by the pandemic and didn't feel she could trust school to stay open, was continuously dreaming about monsters in school or people dying. She had also become very fixated on routines, getting her to bed had become a process requiring a good 20 steps she had to undertake and one of us sitting outside the door p"

Helping to see the wood from the trees !
"
Dr Fry has been part of the journey with our daughter that has now been diagnosed with a hypermobility connective tissue disorder. She had heart surgery, diagnosed with POTS, stomach issues and food intolerances that all caused massive psyco-social issues - he has listened and helped us work through her complex case and guided us along with working along side other consultants in her care. We appreciate his time and effort during a particularly traumatic part of our family lives."

Treatment for son
"
I was so relieved I found Dr Fry as my son was not doing well mentally and had concentration issues which all came to a head just before his GCSE’s. He ended up doing better than expected and could stay in his school for 6th form. Dr Fry listens hard and does not miss a detail. He does not just resort straight to medication but looks at the whole person , gut health etc first and through various assessments can put a lot right naturally. His team Tracey and Heather are so approachable , will work hard to fit you in or produce a report if you need it urgently , whilst remaining professional."

Psychiatry
"
Dr Fry is a brilliant psychiatrist. He uses a whole person approach, looking at overall health, function, nutrition and genetics and how this might be related to psychiatric or neurodevelopmental conditions. His knowledge is absolutely second to none. He is especially knowledgeable about complex syndromes or the management of multiple diagnoses. His holistic approach has meant there has been no negative side effects from his treatment plan.
Dr Fry is friendly and approachable. He has an open candid style that makes you feel as if nothing is embarrassing. He also has a sense of humour, which helps. We are so glad that we found Dr Fry. He really cares, listens, gets a good grasp of even complex situations, he is never rushed and he puts in a lot of time and effort outside of appointments to get the treatment plan right. We have been very happy with his care."

Assistance for very anxious and overwhelmed teen
"
We visited Dr Fry over a year ago for help with our teen who was feeling overwhelmed with anxiety. They had been diagnosed with Aspergers a year before this and were asking us for help as they felt very low. CAMHS were not proving helpful and our local GP suggested seeing Dr Fry as we had exhausted all avenues in a bid to help. Dr Fry asked lots of questions, suggested some tests and seemed very thorough indeed in his approach. He then recommended a course of action after discussing it with us and the outcome has been amazing! I particularly liked the way that Dr Fry used a holistic approach which enabled our teen to feel relief from anxiety very quickly. This has been a valuable lesson for them in bringing self-awareness and to recognise what course of action is needed if they feel low again like that. We are all incredibly grateful for Dr Fry's help!"

Dr Fry
"
Seeing Dr Fry helped a lot with what I was dealing with. It was my first time speaking to a professional and after having spoken to him and applied what we had talked about I felt relieved and started to get better in a short period of time. I like that we had a plan of action for getting better and took it step by step and now I feel good again! Very happy with my experience, thanks!"

Support with ADHD
"
We visited Dr Fry as we had concerns about our son's mental well being. In particular his ability to focus and hyperactivity. Dr Fry was able to see him quickly and provided us with an initial diagnosis on the day with a comprehensive treatment plan. After managing for so long without any idea why things were so challenging, this was a huge relief. Our son was started on medication as well as having further tests and intervention to improve his mental wellbeing. Our son is now able to focus in class and his self esteem is slowly rebuilding. There are no words to express how much this means to us."

Great
"
Seen originally for panic attacks resulting from problems had at school. Now seeing for results of SSRI antidepressants withdrawal (taken off too fast by my GP).
Solved the problem of my IBS, diagnosed gluten and dairy intolerant.
Listens well and puts at ease. Helped me reframe school stuff so it isn't an issue any more.
He wants the best for his patients and helps as much as can."

Child psychiatry
"
Dr Fry has been so incredibly helpful in advising us on how best to help our child who has ADHD.
Dr Fry has a lovely, friendly, calm manner and through both holistic treatments and carefully managed low level medication, we have seen the most fantastic results for our child who is so very happy in school, coping brilliantly and achieving great things. Thank you so much for all you are doing for us."
