Problematic Retina Detachment with lens replacement
"There are not sufficient superlatives in the dictionary to describe my view's of Shohista her team and the Entire Nelson Ward eye clinic staff at the Norfolk and Norwich University hospital. From early October 2018 to July 19 i had many appointments and several operations on my left eye. Personally i had passed the point (in my head anyhow) that useful vision from my left eye was ever going to return. (Happily i was wrong). Her knowledge and operating skills, From my side of the blue sheet anyhow, Made each operation almost painless and stress free also Oddly interesting (maybe that bit is just me though). Friendly, Highly Knowledgeable, Skilled and very dedicated are just a few of the words to describe the care i received through out the entire treatment.

Eye Sight still improving

Overall i would rate the care and treatment given as superb 11/10 ..

Retinal Detatchment / Vitectomy
"I suffered a Posterior Vitreous Detatchment (PVD) that caused two small tears to the retina. Miss Saidkasimova carried out laser surgery to prevent the tears from progressing further on the day I first saw her.
Unfortunately the detatchment continued and caused a third tear that resulted in my vision becoming totally obscured.
Miss Saidkasimova was delightfully blunt in describing my options. Take no action and become permanently blind in that eye within six months, or undergo a Vitrectomy operation that carried a roughly 1 in 500 risk of infection or complications that could damage my eyesight. As I was effectively blind already, the choice was obvious.
I was told that it could take up to three months to totally recover vision after the operation. It actually took only two weeks, although I am much younger than the usual patient for this treatment.
Miss Saidkasimova is delightfully direct and inspires trust with her sometimes brutal honesty. Very knowledgeable and skilled.
